1. Scope — what these terms cover

These terms apply to every move we carry out for private customers within the Netherlands and the EU. They describe what we do for you, what we are responsible for, and where you stand if something goes wrong.

  • Particular & business moves within NL and the EU.
  • Disassembly & assembly, packing service, storage, transport.
  • House clearance is offered separately and is not bound to AVVV.

2. Quotation & agreement

  • Every quotation is provided in writing or electronically and lists the work, the price (incl. VAT) and the planned date.
  • Our quotations are valid for 30 days.
  • You agree by signing the quotation digitally or on paper. From that moment we are committed to each other.
  • A free pre-visit (or video survey) is always part of an exact quotation.

3. Insurance — your stuff is covered

During every move within the Netherlands your household goods are insured up to € 100.000 against loss and material damage. Insurance is on day-value (PV05 conditions). Higher coverage is available on request.

  • Theft is only insured if the move was supervised by us.
  • Cash, jewellery, documents and collections must be handed over separately and listed before the move.
  • Plants, perishables and live animals are not covered.

4. Liability — when are we responsible?

  • We are liable for damage we cause during loading, transport or unloading — within the limits of art. 8:1182 BW (€ 23.000 per household when insurance does not apply).
  • Pre-existing damage and wear (loose drawers, sagging shelves, hairline cracks) cannot be claimed afterwards.
  • If you (or someone you bring along) helps with the move, the boxes/items they handled are not on us.
  • Electronic and mechanical equipment: we are not responsible for internal failure that is not the result of visible damage.

5. Cancellation & rescheduling

  • Free cancellation/rescheduling up to 14 days before the moving date.
  • 14–7 days before: 30% of the agreed price.
  • 7–2 days before: 60% of the agreed price.
  • Within 48 h or no-show: 100%.
  • In case of force majeure (illness, fire, force-majeure of the new home) we always look for a fair solution.

6. Payment

  • 50% deposit on confirmation, 50% on the day of the move (before unloading at the new address).
  • Pay via bank transfer, Tikkie or in cash on site.
  • Without payment we are not allowed to start work — this is part of our terms.
  • We may charge € 3,50 per moving box that is kept, returned damaged or never returned within 4 weeks.

7. Damage report & complaints

  • Visible damage: report it on the spot and note it on the delivery slip.
  • Damage you discover later: report it within 2 working days, in writing or by email.
  • After 14 days the move is considered to have been delivered without damage.
  • Disputes? First with us. Did we not solve it? Then via the rules of AVVV / Dutch law.
